LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will learn about the historical roots, research and assessment methods of attachment.
2) Will discuss the importance of the relationship between the care-giver and the infant in terms of "normal" and "abnormal" brain and personality development.
3) Will differentiate between the similarities and differences of childhood and adulthood attachment behavior.
4) Will understand the relationship between attachment and physical and psychological health.
5) Will learn about the different ways attachment theory can be used in psychological interventions.
