LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Know basic concepts related to immigration and forced immigration.
2) Gain knowledge about how being a refugee and an asylum seekers affects individuals in social and psychological way.
3) Gain knowledge on psychological characteristics of specific risk groups among refugees and asylum seekers such as children, unaccompanied minors, women, LGBTs and older people.
4) Know basic principles utilized in working with refugees.
5) Know basic principles of multiculturalism.
