LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) will learn the group types and concepts of group dynamics and learn the history of the study of social work groups
2) will understand Mezzo-level social work practice, and importance of working with groups
3) will use small group theory applications in social work groups
4) will understand phases and stages of social work practice with groups and social workers roles and skills.

1st Week Group definitions and group types
2nd Week Basic group dynamics, basic concepts and descriptions
3rd Week The historical development of social work groups
4th Week Use of small-group theory and practice of social work
5th Week Mezzo objectives of the study groups in social work practice
6th Week Group stages of the process: the creation of the group and the responsibilities of the social worker
7th Week Group stages of the process: Initial stage-building confidence, autonomy, and conflict resolution
8th Week Mid Term
9th Week With the initial stage of the recognition and evaluation of social work-related tasks, the approach here and now
10th Week Group stages of the process: Development phase-Convergence, commitment, integration
11th Week Professional roles of social workers in the process of group
12th Week Group stages of the process: weathering, independence
13th Week Termination of group process,
14th Week Group work program planning process
